The team from
SIGNUM Sattelservice

Our team

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves to you personally. Who are the faces behind Signum Sattelservice? Who is the creative mind in our workshop? Who is on the road and facilitates the appointments at your location? Who sits at the other end of the office when you contact us for general questions in the workshop?

As you can see, we are a colourful team. What we all have in common is our love of horses and our saddles. The personal paths of our team members are as diverse as the horse world itself. This diversity is a special gift, because it always brings new ideas to light and these flow into the development of unique saddles for horse and rider.

Founder & Management

Stefan Baumgartner - Founder and Saddle Developer

Stefan Baumgartner is a saddle developer, author and active working equitation rider. Stefan is the creative mind behind all our saddle models. Driven by his passion for the Iberian Peninsula, he began importing and developing our current saddle brands BENTAIGA and OMEGA® over 15 years ago.

There is no such thing as "can't" with him. Once an idea has entered his head, he tinkers, builds and tests. The results speak for themselves!

Gernot Weber - CEO Managing Director

Gernot Weber, Managing Director of Signum Sattelservice GmbH, has been in the saddle business for over 15 years. His many years of experience in the field are complemented by his riding experience as one of Germany's most successful working equitation riders.

From the first prototypes to our current range of saddles, he knows each model like the back of his hand. In addition to the technical elements of the saddles, he is particularly enthusiastic about leather - especially here the best is just good enough for our saddles.

Ronja Kay-Weber - Strategy, Marketing & Design

Ronja Kay-Weber has been an integral part of the SIGNUM team since 2016. Strategy, marketing & design are her passion.

She herself is an enthusiastic rider and at SIGNUM she can combine her personal passion for the world of horses with creative working approaches and her wealth of knowledge as a psychologist.

She loves to spend her free time with her two PREs on relaxed horseback rides or driving a carriage through the beautiful Lüneburg Heath.

Lisa Golloch - Customer Service

Lisa Golloch became part of the SIGNUM team directly after her apprenticeship and enriches the service team at the Bispingen location. With her cheerful and open manner, she puts her heart and soul into dealing with all customer enquiries and concerns that reach us by email or on the phone. From general enquiries about our products, our saddle concept or the status of your order, Lisa is there to help you in word and deed.

She loves to spend her free time with her two ponies and looks after them in her own open stable.

Alexander Loks - Logistics

You could say Alexander grew up in and with the company from an early age. In addition to his studies, he is now responsible for our logistics and the journeys between the locations in Bispingen, the saddle production and the riding pad production. He supplies the locations with the necessary goods, fetches the precious leather from the various tanneries and brings the finished custom-made saddles to our headquarters for final inspection. Reliable, unperturbed and always with an extra portion of good humour in his luggage, he travels the world for us.

Feel Good Manager

Our four-legged "feel-good managers" keep us in a good mood in the offices, the workshop and in shipping. They like to accompany us to the warehouse, look over our shoulders when we pack the parcels and always have a watchful eye to make sure the saddle readjustments go well ;) After the lunch break and a romp around the yard, we are often accompanied in the afternoon by a quiet and soothing snore from the dog baskets next to the desks.

Dinah Ringeisen - Communication Management

Dinah has been taking care of communications management since September 2021. Kerstin Bernhardt - Newsletter

Kerstin joined the team in 2022! She enriches us with her great photos and creates our regular newsletter. Mobile Saddle Service in Germany & Austria

Jessica Wehrli - Sales Area West

Jessica is a horse person through and through. From childhood, she took riding lessons and had the four-legged partners at her side. After studying equine science, she decided to get further into practical work with horses and came into contact with Signum saddles for the first time during her internship with the Vierhaus family. In 2013, she founded her own farm, the Rahmenhof in Weeze. Not only has Jessica accompanied many different horses since then, she was also involved in many equestrian sports until she lost her heart to Working Equitation. She has been working for Signum since 2021 and is on the road in the field service for the western region. She especially likes the varied work and the fact that you get to know many interesting horse-rider pairs through the job. For her, it is a very nice feeling to be part of the Signum family.

Esther Maurer - Sales South & Austria

Esther joined our team in December 2020 and is responsible for saddle appointments in the field. In Thuringia, Hesse, Bavaria, Austria and Switzerland, she visits various horse and rider couples and advises them on finding their dream saddle. Originally a trained rider, she has been active in working equitation up to the advanced level with her Lusitano since 2008 and likes to pass on this passion to her customers.

Julia Lünstedt - Service & Sales North Region

Julia began her entry into the world of horses via the classical show scene, before finally catching Worker Fever. The former artistic gymnast started riding at the age of 13, which led her via the path of classical horsemanship to coach A competitive sport, where she successfully rode dressage up to class S and jumping up to class M. She found her affinity for the art of saddling at the age of 15, when she was allowed to build her first custom saddle as a temp in a saddlery. In 2018, the trained equine physiotherapist met Gernot and the Signum company at her first working equitation tournament, and so fate took its course - since 2021, she has been on the road in the North region for her customers and is also available from Monday to Wednesday in the service department to help with all enquiries.
