Compared to many classic saddles, our specially developed and manufactured Anatomic saddle tree provides a stable and particularly large contact surface.
In our own saddle tree production facility, we manufacture our Anatomic plastic saddle trees according to precise patterns to suit all horse breeds and types.
Compared to many classic saddles, our specially developed and manufactured Anatomic saddle tree provides a stable and particularly large contact surface. In order to be able to cater for all horse breeds and types, we at SIGNUM have our own saddle tree production facility, where we can manufacture our Anatomic plastic saddle trees to exact specifications.
This ensures that the shape, size, curve, width, etc. are adapted to the horse's anatomy. We can cater particularly well for characteristics such as high withers, a strongly curved horse's back, a particularly wide or narrow horse or even pressure distribution that is gentle on the back with a heavier rider.
Saddles with a large contact surface
A special feature compared to other saddles with a large contact surface is the size of the saddle panels in combination with the Anatomic saddle tree. The panels on our saddles correspond to the actual size of the saddle tree so that every centimetre of the contact surface is used to distribute pressure. Many other saddles combine large panels with a narrow saddle tree, but are unable to utilise the entire surface of the panels as a result. Wide panels alone do not make a large, stable contact surface!
The Anatomic saddle tree
Compared to a traditional wooden saddle tree, our plastic saddle tree is particularly light and significantly more flexible. With our semi-flexible Anatomic saddle tree, we can distribute the rider's weight in a targeted manner. At the same time, its ideal torsional flexibility allows the horse to move in a diagonal direction, as the saddle tree enables the front part of the saddle to "twist" independently of the rear part. For us, this is the perfect balance between stability and flexibility.
Comparison between saddle trees
Worlds meet! In our photo, two saddle trees with the same seat size have been placed on top of each other. A direct comparison clearly shows that the contact surface of the Anatomic saddle tree (red saddle tree) is almost three times as large as that of a classic plastic saddle tree (white saddle tree). At the rear, the wide spinal canal on our Anatomic saddle tree is clearly recognisable.
The adjustable gullet plate
Our Anatomic saddle tree is aptly named. On the one hand, its shape is based on the curve of the horse's back, the width of the ribcage, the width of the chamber and the shape of the withers. At the same time, the position of the gullet plate is clearly offset to the rear. This allows us to "open up" the saddle tree in the shoulder area and create maximum shoulder freedom.
